Bio

Heffy was our foundation bitch. Pictured here at 13 years of age our beloved Heffy went over the Rainbow Bridge just two days after this picture was taken. She was a granddaughter of Ch. Knaith Beatty owned by Lady Jacqueline Barlow of Newfoundland. Ch. Knaith Beatty was also the sire of my father's dog Beatty's Tiger , better known as Bimbo.

Bimbo was the reason I decided to get a Labrador of my own and not too long after we were married my wife Caroline agreed to let me have a dog. It had been my original intention , with the help of Lady Barlow , to import a pup directly from Mrs. Wormald, Knaith Kennels in Scotland. I had particularly admired her Dual Ch. Knaith Banjo. Unfortunately by this time Mrs. Wormald had passed away and it was not possible. That was how, at 8 months of age we purchased Hephzibah, my dear, sweet , exasperating, stubborn , darling Heffy.
